KEVIN C. DOHERTY, VMD
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Doherty received his Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from theUniversity of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Prior to that,
he received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree with Honors from the
University of Delaware in 1984.
After receiving his degrees, Dr. Doherty initially joined a mixed small and large
animal practice located in Westminster, Maryland as an Associate until 1995. He
then joined a large emergency practice located in Timonium, Maryland before
purchasing Fork Veterinary Hospital in 2003. Dr. Doherty strongly believes that
the best veterinary care is provided when the client and doctor have a good
personal relationship. To that extent, he ardently endeavors to create an
atmosphere of highly individualized service for every one of his clients.
Dr. Doherty is a native Baltimorean. He and his wife Louise have been married
for over 25 years. They have two children, Katie and Bryan, who are both
currently completing their college educations. When not in the office
or spending time with family, Dr. Doherty enjoys volunteering for the local Boy
Scout troop and taking long walks with his English Bulldog, Reggie.
KELLY GIBSON
Hospital Administrator
Kelly is the Fork Veterinary's hospital administrator responsible for thebusiness operations within the clinic and overseeing all client relations, as well
as one of the many devoted veterinary technicians. She has been working with
the clinic for almost 18 years.
When not at the clinic, Kelly enjoys volunteering for the Pets on Wheels
program with her Golden Retriever, Brody.
MILVENIA NELSON, R.V.T.
Surgical Technician
Mel is Fork Veterinary's surgical technician. She has worked with the clinicfor almost 10 years, keeping order in the surgical and dental suite, as well as
assisting in surgical procedures.
Outside of the clinic, Mel enjoys spending her time with her beloved pets and
two grandchildren.
KIM KONIALIAN
Groomer
Kim is another one of Fork Veterinary's dedicated staff members. She is aveterinary technician and also provides grooming services two days a week at
the clinic. Kim has been with Fork Veterinary for almost 25 years and began
grooming professionally 6 years ago.
Kim's household pets include: Sydney her Australian Cattle Dog, Max her
Border Collie Mix rescue, her two cats Kiwi and Brownie, and her 20 year old
turtle Daytona.
